Start Nairobi End Mombasa
Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to Fairview Hotel or similar on bed
and breakfast.
Day 2: Nairobi / Maasai Mara
After breakfast and depart for the famous Masai Mara game reserve
recently declared 7th wonder of the world, arriving for lunch. Afternoon
game spotting in the Mara. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge
or similar.
Day 3: Maasai Mara
Whole day is dedicated to game viewing, with the option of a visit
to a Masai village or balloon ride that departs at 0600hrs and ends
with a champagne breakfast in the plains. All meals and overnight
at your camp.
Day 4: Maasai Mara / Great Rift
Valley
After breakfast depart into the Great Rift Valley to Naivasha arriving
in time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Country Club .In the early evening
a boat ride to spot the many species of birds and possibly even
hippo.
Day 5: Great Rift Valley / Amboseli
Breakfast and route for Nairobi, driving through the picturesque
Great Rift Valley with its awe-inspiring vistas. Lunch will be at
the famous Nairobi Carnivore Restaurant, renowned for its succulent
steaks including game meat. Continue to Amboseli National Park,
game spotting as your enter the park. Dinner and over at Amboseli
Serena Lodge or similar.
Day 6: Amboseli / Tsavo West
After breakfast we head south to Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo
is the largest park in Kenya, and is split into East and West by
the Nairobi / Mombasa highway. Arrive in Ngulia Safari lodge for
lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park. Common spots include: herds
of elephant, buffalo, ostrich, gazelle, impala, giraffe, zebra and
the accompanying predatory cats. We’ll also visit Rhino Sanctuary.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Tsavo West / Tsavo East
Early morning game drive to watch predators on the hunt. After breakfast
we head for Tsavo East, with a visit to Mzima Springs. Here, there’s
an underground viewing platform to observe crocodile, hippo and
the various fish under water. Continue to Tsavo East, game viewing
en route to Voi Wildlife lodge for lunch. Afternoon out game spotting
where gerenuk, cape buffalo, red elephant, lion, cheetah, zebra,
gazelle, and plenty of other plains game can be spotted. Dinner
and overnight at your lodge.
Day 8: Tsavo East / Mombasa
Early morning game drive to observe animals as they head to the
water holes and the swamps to quench their thirst. It’s also
the time when the big cats are on the hunt. Back to the lodge for
breakfast after which depart for Mombasa, arriving at Whitesands
Beach hotel, where you’re booked on half board basis. This
is a 4-star property and one of the best beach resorts along the
Kenyan coast.
Day 9: Mombasa
At leisure enjoying the hotel facilities you’ll be met by
our representative for varieties of excursions you may opt e.g.
Mombasa city tour – a tour of the island including visits
to Fort Jesus, the Old Town and the Old Port. Call at the Akamba
Handicraft the biggest wood curving industry in East Africa, Mackinnon
market, the giant elephant tusks, e.t.c, Full day Wasini Island
- A full day gives you time to snorkel or scuba dive among the superb
coral gardens or spend time bird watching. Specialty here is seafood,
but chicken is also served etc
Day 10 - 14: Kenya Beach Holiday
For the next five days enjoy all that the Kenya Coast is
famous for - the sunshine, the beaches, the islands of the Indian
Ocean including Lamu and Kiwayu, the succulent food and the melting
pot of cultures that are the people that make up the coastal communities.
Day 15: Mombasa / Nairobi
Depending on your international flight schedule from Nairobi, you’ll
be transferred to Mombasa airport for your domestic flight to connect
on your home-bound flight in Nairobi.
