8 Days Kenya Classic Safari

This safari takes in 5 of the most picturesque regions of Kenya. It also provides the perfect opportunity to spot the big five “lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard” and to compare some diverse awe-inspiring scenery and culture.

Day 1: Mombasa / Tsavo East
After breakfast depart for Tsavo national park, the largest in Kenya: Elephant, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, gazelle, gerenuk, lion, ostrich, dik-dik and other plains game, and hundreds of species of birds. Arrive at Voi Safari lodge for lunch. Afternoon another photo safari. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Tsavo East / Tsavo West
Early morning game drive to watch the predators on the hunt. After breakfast leave for Tsavo West, arriving at Ngulia Safari lodge for lunch. After lunch another game drive. Common spots include elephant, eland, bongo, zebra, buffalo, waterbuck, gazelle, giraffe, impala and the accompanying predatory cats. We’ll also visit the Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 3: Tsavo West / Amboseli
Early breakfast and drive to Mzima Springs. Here there’s an underwater viewing platform, where you can observe crocodile, hippo and tilapia. Continue to Amboseli, arriving in Amboseli Serena lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in this magnificent park, right on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest in Africa. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.

Day 4: Amboseli - Nairobi / Lake Nakuru
Breakfast and route for Nairobi, arriving at the famous Nairobi Carnivore restaurant for lunch, renowned for its succulent steaks of game meat. Continue to Lake Nakuru, game spotting around the lake to view its millions of seasonal pink flamingos and other aquatic birds. Also visit the Rhino Sanctuary. Arrive in Lake Nakuru lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara
Early breakfast and depart for the world-famous Masai Mara game reserve, with photo safari en route. Arrive in Mara Hippo lodge for lunch. Afternoon photo safari in one of East Africa’s most famous reserves. The Mara consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa, if not the world. Lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, topi, bongo, gazelle, leopard and other plains game abound, and hundreds of species of birds. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Masai Mara
The whole day is dedicated to game tracking. Masai Mara is the natural extension of Serengeti national park in northern Tanzania, where the annual migration (August to October) of millions of wildebeest, zebra, etc. followed by their predators move freely between the two parks. Option of a visit to a Masai Village or a hot-air balloon ride that starts at 06.00 am and ends with a champagne breakfast on the plains. What an unforgettable and exhilarating experience! All meals and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara / Lake Naivasha
After breakfast you drive to Lake Naivasha reaching in time for lunch. The afternoon activities include boat riding to see the many species of water birds with the possibility of spotting hippo. Tea, dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club.
